Once again, I'm mucking about with my site. If I've done it right, you shouldn't even notice (except to see a new pattern or two). Basically, I'm creating my own PHP/mySQL content management system so that I don't have to use the kinda cludgy code as you go method I have been doing. Er, and of course, as usual, I'm doing it because I'm learning something new so I HAVE to come up with an excuse to use it. *geeky blush*
If you're looking at a pattern and DON'T see "patterns.php" somewhere in the URL, you're looking at an old page, and might have problems printing it.
Oh, and before I forget, I've been adding stitch definitions and links to the appropriate pages over at StitchGuide.

I'm doing a bit of work on the site right now--changing up the menu, trying to improve the look and feel, speed up the load times. Please bear with me if things don't work quite right this weekend!

Well, I haven't updated this page in awhile, but I've been busy! (That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it). Scott and I got married last Friday, and I'm working on getting all of the pictures his sister took for us posted.

I splurged today, I admit it. It's kinda weird that I feel guilty about spending $40 on yarn, since I easily spent that two weeks ago at the fancy yarn store. I think the guilt comes in because I went to Joanns instead and got so MUCH yarn. Whee, what fun I'll have with it.
As a matter of fact, I'm already having fun with it, since I picked up a skein of Lion Brand Fishermens wool and some Kool Aid to dye it with. What a fruity fun mess! Here's the result:

I just posted more crochet pictures! I'm on a mission to use up my stash making things for the craft fair at work. I'm nearly finished with a pretty blue pineapple scarf. It's turning out so well, Mom just might get one for Christmas. The green poncho got a lot of compliments when I wore it to work on Friday--I'm definitely keeping it, but I'll have to make some more.

Fulling Around is Fun!!
No, seriously. I made 4 small crochet bags out of wool this weekend, then tossed them in the wash on the Hot cycle to intentionally shrink them. Kinda like I did with my favorite black skirt, but this time I meant it, lol. Anyhow, I've posted pics on my crochet projects page.

I just can't stop fiddling with my site! I like the look, but it needs some animation. Why? Because I feel like it, that's why. Anyhow, a couple of people have asked me what I used to put this together so far. The answer is: a Photoshop demo and coffee cup software. Loooooooooooove coffee cup. Their stuff always works, and is cheap to boot! Check them out:

I know many people have saved the url to my shawl patterns, so I'm leaving those pages intact for now and just redirecting them to the new url. If you started on a green page and end up on a purple one, you may want to re-save the new url to your favorites.

So, I've decided to redo my website. It was just...too green. Now it's very purple. Mostly, I just wanted an excuse to play around with cool web stuff, and to have something to do when I'm waiting to heal while playing City of Heroes.
