Snowflake Scarf
Yarn Used: One skein Wool-Ease in main color, scrap amounts of
Yarn Weight: Worsted Weight
Yarn Content: Wool blend
Hook: J or K (Gauge doesn't matter much)
Project Size: Child's Scarf
Stitches used in this pattern:   
dc (double crochet)   
dtr (double treble)
Foundation Chain:Using MC, ch 17.
1: Dc in fourth ch from hook, dc in each ch across. Turn. (15 dc)
2: Ch 2, dc in next 3 st, ch 3, *sk 1 st, dtr in next st. Repeat
from * twice more. Ch 3, sk 1 st, dc in each of last 4 st. Turn.
3: Ch 2, dc in next 3 st, ch 3, sc in each dtr, ch 3,
dc in each of last 4 st. Turn.
4: Repeat row 3.
5: Repeat row 3.
6: Ch 2, dc in next 3 st, *ch 1, dtr in sc. Repeat from * twice
more. Ch 1, dc in each of last 4 st. Turn.
7: Ch 2, dc in next 3 st, dc in each ch-1 and dtr, dc in each of last 4 st. Turn.
8: Repeat rows 2-7 until scarf is desired length, ending on a row 7. Fasten off.
9: Border: Fasten on CC in an unobtrusive spot along side. (Make a starting
loop on your hook, insert hook through top of dc along the edge of the scarf. YO and
pull through st, YO and pull through both loops on hook to make your first sc)
Ch 3,
sc in top of each dc along edge until you reach a corner. Sc in very corner of scarf,
ch 3, dc in each dc across short edge of scarf. Ch3, sc in that corner. Ch 3, sc
along edge in same manner as the first edge. Continue is this manner until you
reach the first sc in CC, slip st round closed. Fasten off and weave in all ends.
