This was made as a Christmas present for a dear friend who's currently living in the student ghettos--you know the kind of apartment that comes pre-furnished with industrial looking, easily cleaned furniture and linoleum floors? I thought he needed something warm and cuddly, with some color to brighten the place up. My husband specified "boy colors", but I managed to sneak in some flowers.
Pumpkin Patch Wall Quilt
I got the idea for this quilt from a very old issue of QNM. The pumpkins were presented as line drawings to use as stitch patterns for quilting, but I thought they'd be nice as applique instead. I cheated and used the fusible stuff since it was meant to be a wall hanging.
